There he was prancing down Main Street
He couldn't get no higher
He must have coughed when the cigar was lit
And that's what caused the fire
He snorted flame about ten feet
An blowed smoke out both his ears
What the pilgrims saw in town that night
They'd speak about for years
Here you are walking down Main Street
Ready to hit the trail
Here comes Wilbur lit up like the fourth of July
Smoke pouring out his tail
When you talk about a poster child for a wild ass
Ol Wilbur takes the cake
He plowed right through the Sundance saloon
An never found the brake
Some of you ladies may relate to this
From your court'n days
Probably seen more than one Jackass scoot across the dance floor
With his hind end all ablaze
Well Ol Wilbur torched the place
On his first trip into town
When he finished his little jig
He’d burnt the whole place down
The preacher ran out of church
To see what the fuss was about in town
With all that whoop’n hollering
He dropped his spectacles on the ground
