wouldn't have to show that she was scared to the marrow

of her bones. Ah. Tall enough - both of them. Liam was

scared too, but didn't want to show it either.

"Do you think we should leave this until later in the

day?" asked Mirabel. They might just forget the whole

thing.

"No, we have to do it now or we'll never get back to

it," said Liam.

Okay, so no backing down. After presenting the three

tickets required for this ride, they sat together in a little

capsule shaped to look like a big falcon, black eyes

painted on the sides. The motor started up, vibrating and

humming.
Slowly, the little bird moved forward, inching its way

up the track toward the top of the first loop. Their hands
were white at the knuckles as they clenched onto the bar.
