Actually, Gramma and Grampa were quite surprised that

we let you go on that trip."

"Well so were we." said Nana.

"Well so was I!" said Mirabel. "But strangely enough, I

was never scared when the green-eyed lady or the magic

birds and feathers were with us. But she was there the

whole time, in different shapes, I guess."

Just then, a deer walked into the garden while they

were all looking out the dining room window.

"Has anyone ever seen a green-eyed deer before?"

asked Opa? "It's not eating our lettuce. Just looking in the

        window at us."

Mirabel just knew who it was and went out carefully

and quietly to say hello and thanks.
"Thank you for all your help, and for the fun of the

great adventure. It all feels a bit like a dream."
The deer winked one of its green eyes at Mirabel, who

looked back at her family. When she turned around, the

        deer was gone.
