has long sliding sounds and short cricket-like noises. But

we have written a small booklet about the place if you are

interested."

Everyone was very interested, while still wishing that

the Stars would go on talking, a feeling easily picked up

by Polly and Phil. But they said that much of their

experience was secret, especially since they would not be

returning to the mystery planet. Of course, everyone then

wanted to know why. They agreed to give them an

overview for another ten minutes.

When it became clear that Polly was expecting a baby,

there was no time to get back home for the birth.

Twinkle was not to be a child of the earth. But she was

their precious girl, and they spent many loving hours with

her, talking, playing, and singing. The fact that she was
red-haired, made her seem like one of the locals, who

were extremely interested in this baby. They wanted to
train her in the ways of their planet and offered to take

her to one of their schools when she was two, to learn

communication skills and artistry. Polly and Phil were

reluctant to let her go, but agreed that she could go for
