S1-2-2-15). The Scientific research plan was discussed and approved by the Mechanical

engineering department council No. 5 (Annex S1-2-2-16). The Mechanical engineering department
is one of the main departments at Al-Baha University of Saudi Arabia Kingdom. The department

has a good reputation in Saudi Arabia Kingdom. Therefore the staff of Mechanical engineering

have worked seriously on the department improvement plan, based on the faculty dean’s
recommendations, (Annex S1-2-4-17). The program’s improvement plan was discussed and

approved by the Mechanical engineering department council No. 4 (Annex S1-2-4-18).

1-2-3 The program conducts a periodic, comprehensive evaluation and prepares plans for
improvement; and follows up its implementation.

The program management adopts the annual reports to evaluate the improvement plans and

follow up on its implementation (Annex S1-2-3-1). The annual report was discussed and approved

by the Mechanical engineering department council No. 3 (Annex S1-2-3-2). An academic advising
improvement plan for this year (1444 H) (Annex S1-2-3-3). An academic advising improvement

plan was discussed and approved by the Mechanical engineering department council No. 4 (Annex

S1-2-3-4). An academic advising improvement action plan report for the last 3 years (1442, 1443,
and 1444 H) is prepared (Annex S1-2-3-5). Academic Advising Guide was discussed and approved

by the Mechanical engineering department council No. 5 (Annex S1-2-3-6). The laboratory

committee, represented by its supervisors, reviewed the available equipment and then identified

the shortage in all laboratories and how to complete the deficiency. A detailed report was
prepared for each laboratory separately by the laboratory supervisor (Annex S1-2-3-7). The

twenty-three department council, (Annex S1-2-3-8) which was informed of the visit to the

laboratories by the university’s department of educational, operational and maintenance means

to develop the laboratories of the Mechanical engineering department. The program operational
plan (Annex S1-2-3-9) shows how improvements are planned. The program’s operational plan was

discussed and approved by the Mechanical engineering department council No. 5 (Annex S1-2-3-

10). The scientific research committee also prepared a 5-year plan to develop various practical

research activities and work to encourage faculty members to increase scientific publishing (Annex
S1-2-3-11). The scientific research plan was discussed and approved by the Mechanical
