Negative Feedback:
Homeostasis in the body I maintained by internal feedback
mechanisms called negative feedback.
Negative feedback returns a system to a set point once it
deviates from that set point.
▪ Other places that secrete:
The pancreas in the digestive system: secretes two
hormones.
Insulin: Reduces blood sugar (reduces glucose levels in
the blood).
Glucagon: Raises blood sugar (increases glucose levels in
the blood).
The hypothalamus in the nervous system: produces two
hormones, oxytocin and antidiuretic hormone.
