Ireland has the unwanted title
of ‘Puppy Farming Capital of
Europe. It is estimated that
over 90,000 puppies are bred
here every year. Currently in
Ireland over 3,500 dogs are
destroyed in our pounds.
That is over 10 dogs every
day. This is through no fault
of the own. Dogs Trust offers
neutering; micro chipping and education campaigns to try
reduce this number alongside our rehoming work through
our state of the art rehoming facility. We help approx 200
pups/dogs get back on their paws every day. Dogs Trust
is looking forward to the day when all dogs can live life
happy, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.
