Gray assists MDI with

automated storage

Hickory, North Carolina

Located in Hickory, North Carolina, Gray’s project
for MDI is a 200,000 s.f. automated dry storage
expansion, with future plans for a 300,000 s.f. dry
storage conversion (dry to cold storage). This is
Gray’s first project for MDI, a grocery wholesale
supplier with 90 years of experience as a leader
in their industry. Gray is installing specialized
automation equipment, platforms and rack systems.
“This project is setting the benchmark for the
future campus standards for MDI,” said Brett
Goode, Senior Vice President, South Atlantic
Regional Office.
