My career - Horizon Consulting
With my colleague who had followed me from the IRE, we
had - thanks to the IBS group - a very good knowledge of the
structure of a "package 105 ", including accounting solutions
for international needs. We started work straight away on
enhancing the functionalities of version-1 to make it a
solution integrating VAT management, fixed asset
management and cost accounting management.
At the time, the most advanced software offered 2 or even 3
analytical plans. We decided to activate 8 levels of analysis,
covering both the company's internal structure (departments,
functions, people, etc.) and products (family, products, etc.), as well
as customer profiles (geographical area, type of market, customers,
etc.). This choice put us in a very strong market position
compared to our competitors.
We called our solution HI-Account, which would become
HI-System when the HI-Distribution and HI-Marketing
modules were developed. We sold our 1 HI-Account license

in 1996.
Comment: becoming autonomous
Becoming autonomous had a pleasant side, but it meant
that I became dependent on my own resources.
The takeover - even if only for the symbolic sum of 1 BEF -
of the business from the IBS group meant that all the
