services previously provided by IBS now had to be
provided by my company.
This new situation had led to a direct increase in overheads
and other miscellaneous expenses, such as company and
product brochures. We had become independent, but we
no longer had the corporate aura of the IBS Group.
Without recalling the precise events that led to the
company's financial fragility, HORIZON Consulting was
declared bankrupt on November 10, 1997.
HI-System was contractually 50% owned by HORIZON
Informatique (formerly MONACO Informatique). The product
was good, the quality of the clientele was already
impressive, and the trustee saw that it was a cash flow
problem. He concluded that the business could continue,

as it seemed viable, and agreed that HORIZON
Informatique would buy out the few assets the bankrupt
company had. There was therefore no cessation of activity.
It was at this time that HORIZON Informatique changed
its name and transferred its activities to HORIZON ICT.
