Harley-Davidson trips


              sharing the market. In Brussels, a dealer 130  had invested in a
              huge complex with showroom, workshop, clothing boutique
              and lounge.
                 I  bought  an  Electra  Glide,  which  is  undoubtedly  the
              flagship  of  the  Harley-Davidson  fleet.  Every  year,  out  of
              more  than  300,000  motorcycles,  Harley-Davidson
              produced  a  few  thousand  special  models  called  CVOs
              (Customer Vehicle Operations). So I chose a CVO model with
              impressive  technical  specifications:  a  1600  cm   engine,  6

              gears, GPS, satellite radio, heated seats and grips, 4 stereo
              speakers…
                 I  felt  good  when  I  was  riding.  I  had  no  concerns  and
              always kept in mind the good advice I had been given during
              the course, as well as that received from more experienced

              bikers.
                 In  the  beginning,  in  line  with  my  reason  for  buying  a
              Harley-Davidson, I mainly rode when the weather was fine
              and continued to read my monthly magazines dedicated to
              the brand. One day, I came across a carte blanche written by
              a reader to whom the editorial staff had given the pen. In a
              nutshell, he wrote :
                … and it's not like those Harley-Davidson-riding jerks with
                their road  barge who only go out on Sundays when the
                weather's nice.

              I knew from that day on that, in the Harley-Davidson world,
              I was considered by some to be a jerk!
