My Ariadne’s thread: Science

                  -                   In September
                            Mass and energy are equal
                                     E = m C    2

                This equation - considered to be the world's best known -
                highlighted the direct link between the mass of a material
                and the energy it represents.
                1 kg of matter equals: 1 kg x (300.000 km/s) = 9 10  joules.
                                                                10
                                                         2
                And the unit of power is the Watt.
                The equivalence is: 1 joule = 1 watt in 1 second; in other
                words, we have 9 10 watts in 1 second.
                                    10
                90 billion watts in 1 second, that's the principle behind
                atomic bombs.

                We also know that 1 calorie represents 4.185 joules, giving
                21,505,376,344 calories, or 21.5 billion calories.
                A few hours of physical exercise!
