DEPARTMENT VISION
Geographical and Historical skills and knowledge for a more knowledgeable and
sustainable Fiji.
DEPARTMENT MISSION
To empower the young minds with knowledge about History, Geography, Current Affairs
and Environment of Fiji and the world for peaceful co-existence of communities.
The Social Science Department started on a high note this year with the theme, “Bound
to be Different – A step above the rest”. We acknowledge the fact that our efforts and
struggles last year paid off successfully as the department received great results in the
two national exams, FY12CE and FY13CE.
The department consists of two members namely, Mrs. Aruna Singh and Mr. Divesh Ram
who were later joined by Mrs. Jainish Ram to assist with the teaching load. We offer Social
Science for Years 9 and 10 while History and Geography are offered for Years 11 to 13.
The department had organized various in-house activities such as Fiji Day, Ratu Sukuna
Day and Constitution Day to name a few.
