JUDY K JOHNSON

Harley impressed Brandon with expertise on noticing pretty girls
who were often attracted to Harley's gentlemanly smiles and easy,
outgoing conversation. Even at the age of nine, Harley was often
photographed with charming girls at his side. One day, Brandon
accompanied Harley and his parents to check out a Harley Davidson
event (a regular occurrence for Kevin, Beth, and Harley) who
proceeded to set up a tent to raise money for “KidStrong.” Brandon
and Harley eventually took a break to stroll over to the restroom with
Brandon providing verbal instruction to guide Harley.

They struck up a conversation about “cute girls” when Brandon
whispered about girls in bikini tops nearby. Brandon, apparently
distracted, gazed after the girls, and forgot about giving Harley verbal
cues to the restroom. With Brandon's focus diverted, he and Harley
ended up walking straight into the tallest, broadest man with a long
beard, sunglasses, and huge biceps folded across his chest. Brandon,
petrified, was immediately speechless, but Harley quickly and
appropriately responded to this huge unknown person, “Excuse me
        sir, I can't see you.”

This giant hulk glared downward at Brandon a few long
interrogating minutes before he smiled, shifted his focus with
recognition, and gently replied to Harley, “Harley, it's me, Les.”

“Then get outta my way!” Harley grinned with reciprocal
recognition before slinging his bluff reply back to the giant biker—
clearly one of his favorite acquaintances. Harley and Les celebrated
their reunion with a huge hand shake before Les pointed Brandon and
Harley, still grinning, in the right direction to the restroom.
Eventually, Kevin explained to Brandon that Les was a cherished
family friend often meeting up with them at motorcycle events
spending time sharing jokes and good times.
Brandon and Harley had ongoing discussions about “cute girls.”
Once, Brandon happened to meet up with Harley at Lifetime Fitness
in South Austin. He was sitting off to the side working with his
Brailler while Beth spent time there working out. Brandon proceeded
to describe to Harley all the activities available at the fitness center
and happened to mention the pretty lifeguards at the pool. The two
made arrangements to go swimming the next time Beth worked out.
