                            Puerto Rico trip with family.

Harley's family made other travel trips to explore documented
family history. During Spring break of 2013, Harley and Beth tracked
down another historical family site. They traveled to Old Bayview
Cemetery to try and locate the funeral plot of Beth's great-grandfather,
        Frank W. Shaeffer.
According to the Corpus Christy Public Library site, Old Bayview
Cemetery is the oldest cemetery in the area. It was established in 1845
by the U.S. Army Engineers. The need for the cemetery was a tragic
explosion of the steamer, Dayton, in Corpus Christi Bay where seven
soldiers were killed, seventeen were injured, and three who later died.
The 3½ acre site is also the oldest Federal Military Cemetery in
Texas. Many of the county pioneers are buried at Bayview and the
oldest stone found still standing is dated 1850.
