They are going to Veronica Joels, who grew up in Las Vegas and is currently

phy case at the High Siegfried & Jensen Utah Women’s Open. Joels clenched the title
Performance Institute in the closing round with a six under 66 at the Thanksgiving
of Golf at Lake Las Point Golf Club in Lehi, Utah. She took the title with a three-

                                         headed by director

                                         Barlow (PGA TOUR
                                         player) along with
                                         longtime tour player
                                         Jeff Gallagher—seems
                                         to be churning out
                                         champions at a torrid
                                         pace.
                                         Just this summer,
                                         Morgan Goldstein
                                         (Gallagher), Michael
Sarro, and Ronda Henderson (both work with Barlow) have won
state titles. There are other top players honing their swings at
the facility that has a stand-alone practice area, plus indoor
state of the art swing and putting monitors at Reflection Bay.
A custom club fitter is also onsite.
Sarro is a former Coronado High School player looking for a
college after transferring from Cal Baptist and Henderson is
one of the top amateurs in Nevada, while Goldstein plays at
University of Iowa. Sarro beat a deep field of players to win
the Nevada State Amateur at Reflection Bay in July. He said
Barlow has been a key to his solid play.
“He’s helped me a lot with my game,” Sarro said of his time
with Barlow. “With all of his experience he knows how to play
the game. His short game help has been tremendous.”

Barlow also won the Nevada State Amateur in 1994 before
turning professional and making more than 150 cuts on the
PGA TOUR. He sees a bright future for Sarro.

“The first thing that comes to my mind about his Nevada State
Amateur win is—amazing,” Barlow said. “He played 54 holes
and made only one bogey. Wow! Also, he was fresh off of a
wrist injury, so that tells me how talented he is. As a player, he’s
a very hard worker who has an amazing short game and calm
demeanor. He is very confident in his ability. The sky is his
ceiling and it’s been fun for me to watch him grow as a player.”
