INGER NOVA
JORGENSEN
While many children exhibit art
talent at a young age, few become
profitable entrepreneurs in mid-
dle school. Inger Nova Jorgensen
started a business drawing peo-
ples’ homes and doing portrai-
ture. In college, she and two
artists were given an entire house

as a studio. She was the founder
and co-owner of Bohemia Gallery & Framing in Ashland, but it
diverted her from her art, so she moved on. Currently, Inger shares
space with four artists in Enclˉ ave Studio in Ashland, where she will
participate in The Open Studio Tour in October.
Inger paints and sculpts and works in large scale monuments, execut-
ing several in bronze. Her most recent is a torso of Shakespearean
actor, Jordan Barbour.
Music is also part of her life, which is how she met and started writ-
ing music with Jeff Pevar, guitarist. Today they are married. She is
the lead vocalist and co-writer for LOVEBITE and ZEPDRIX (funk,
R&B and rock).
Because art and music emanate from who she is, Inger sees a com-
mon thread in both her pursuits—a feeling of movement, sometimes
ethereal subjects and symbolic imagery.
