SJournal column-
ist, features writer,
and freelance
writer, Peggy Dover,
announces the release
of her debut novel,
Stone Revival, a work
of women’s fiction
set in post-WWII
England.
All aboard for Rakefoot Crossing, small rail village and unlikely loca-
tion for espionage, kidnapping, and deception.
Glory Stone is content with her life as a country vet’s wife and mother
to nineteen-year-old Claire and twelve-year-old Sydney. Even with
husband and father, John, away in the collieries, the Stone home has
remained relatively unscathed. War has ended, and England is shak-
ing the dust off of a six-year rumble. John is coming home.
As the Stone women prepare for John’s return, a telegram arrives
with news of his death. After the initial shock, Glory has questions.
John’s disappearance launches a series of challenges, as she battles
grief, panic attacks, a crippling lack of confidence, and unwarranted
attention from station master Axel Biggs.

able in a few libraries in England’s Lake District, should you be in
