What a Christian Believes

Part One

1. REPENTANCE from SIN

This first section seeks to understand what sin is, its
relationship both to the individual as well as to mankind as a
whole, together with its consequences. From there the study
considers how a person can be rescued from these
consequences and to lead a life that will not lead to
punishment now and in the life after.

The teachings or doctrines being looked at under this section
are about:-

Man; Sin; Salvation; Grace; Repentance; Regeneration (New
Birth); Redemption; Reconciliation to God.

 MAN

To understand the message of christianity, it is necessary to
understand those to whom the message was sent. i.e. Men
& Women.

Is mankind fundementally good or bad, has he evolved from
lower beings to dominate the earth, is his relationship with
God a good one?

In Psalm 8 v 3,4 King David writes 'When I consider your
(God's) works...the moon and stars being set in place,
who is man that you are mindful of him.'

What is it about man that makes him different from animals
and why does God bother so much about him?
