What a Christian Believes

So the power that is in faith must be used in a right way.
Even if it is a little faith it can achieve much. Matthew 17 v20
'I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a
mustard seed (one of the smallest seeds that there is), you
can say to this mountain 'move from here to there' and it
will move. Nothing is impossible to God'.

Remember Jesus is not here speaking about making our
lives easier, by our not needing earth moving equipment to
move a mountain. He is speaking about the power of FAITH
                to change the impossible.

 The many qualities of Faith.

There are various aspects and degrees of Faith. St Paul,
when writing in the book of Romans, in 1 v17, 12 v3-6, he
speaks of Faith leading to more Faith, the measure of faith,
                the proportion of faith.

Whatever degrees of Faith believers have, there is one
overriding truth, it is Christ who is the source. Hebrews 12
v2 'Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter
of our Faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the
cross, scorning the shame and sat down at the right
hand of the throne of God.'

The different degrees and types of FAITH spoken of in the
                Bible are:-

No Faith. Deuteronomy 32 v20 '.....for they are a perverse
                generation, children with no faith.'
It is the case that there are those who belong to God who
because of their ungodly way of living, give up faith in Jesus
Christ, even though they have known Him. The
                consequences are dreadful. 1 Timothy 4 v1
