Faith in or towards God

'The Holy Spirit clearly says that in later times some will
abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things
                taught by demons.'

Little Faith. Matthew 8 v26 'Jesus replied 'You of little
faith, why are you so afraid?'.' Little faith can be effective.
If it is small in quantity - it can be grown. If it is small in
quality it needs to be changed.

Weak Faith. Romans 14 v1 'Accept him whose faith is
weak, without passing judgement...' Christians are to
accept one another, those who have a strong faith are not to
judge those who have a weak faith but are to help build
                them up.

Dead Faith. James 2 v17 '...faith by itself, if it is not
accompanied by action, is dead.' Activity and works
cannot bring salvation but they should be the effects of a
                living Faith.

Vain Faith. 1Corinthians 15 v 14 'And if Christ is not
risen then our preaching is empty and your faith is also
empty.' There are those in the church today who deny
Jesus rose from the dead. Any faith they might have is
                completely empty.

Great Faith. Luke 7 v9 'I have not found such great faith,
no not in Israel.' Jesus is speaking of the centurion who,
though a Roman, had spiritual discernment. This surprised
even Jesus. By growing in spiritual things, the christian will
                increase his capacity for faith.

Firm Faith. Colossians 2 v5 '... I delight to see how
orderly you are and how firm your faith in Christ is.' It is
this firm faith that enables us to stand firm in the midst of
                trials and grief.
