punishment or retribution of some kind should you decide to ignore it. It is
only religion that threatens ‘hell’s fires’ should you choose to ignore its
instruction, or the state that threatens you with monetary fines or incarceration
if you defy its ruling. So many in the past have been punished for doing what
they thought to be right, though it broke the laws of state or church. God never
judges you nor punishes you. The Law of Cause and Effect that some call
Karma; will always provide you with the indicators as to the appropriateness
of your decision, by rewarding you or allowing you to suffer the consequences
of your actions. One way or another you will learn, it is a “kill or cure” system,
sometimes literally. Nothing threatens your Spirit and this is why in making
choices in life it can provide you with the best guidance. All it needs is for you
to give it a chance. In time using this method for arriving at decisions will put
you on your true path, and become a way of living. Once you achieve
adulthood, you will have become more accustomed to living by the rules of
humankind even though they might contravene what you understand as
spiritual laws. Spirit has very few laws for you to contravene, other than the
primary law as we have already discussed. It is often thought that the
punishment for sin is waiting for you when you leave that world, but it isn’t,
you will already have ‘paid’ for your transgressions before you leave. You
might not have learnt by the offensive experience and subsequent
repercussions. If you haven’t learnt positively through your experience you
will remain in ignorance. Should you pass from that world you will still be
ignorant and bring that ignorance into the world of soul, or purgatory as some
call it. You are still Spirit and still trapped inside the ego, trapped by its
ignorance. This is also an important part of the Spirit’s experience. The ego is
still in control and is still behaving ignorantly, doing what it ignorantly thinks
all souls should do. This ego still thinks it knows better. The Law of Cause and
Effect still applies. Some poor ignorant souls think it is their duty to continue
to ‘sin’ and suffer, and rattle chains to attract attention to its perceived power
or plight. Of course there are others who lead an exemplary life, by religious
standards that is, but they are still spiritually unaware and think that because
they have left the earth and still feel they are alive, that they must be in
heaven, and seek to go no further. We look after all these souls in any way we
can. In much the same way we look after you if you let us. We cannot do
