Communicating with Spirit beings is a relatively simple task, most creatures
do it constantly. Watch your pets as they perceive the presence of a Spirit. The
difficulty that most humans have is their ego’s quest for power, the quest for
exclusive recognition. You will hear Spirit communication referred to as a
‘gift’, or as a ‘power’ that someone has. It is neither a gift nor a power. We
have told you this many times before and repeat it here for inclusion in this
dissertation. Communication with discarnate beings only requires awareness.
The ‘level’ at which the communication takes place is an entirely different
matter. We spoke previously of ‘levels’ of consciousness. In the reality of
spiritual consciousness there are no ‘levels’ of consciousness. Perhaps it could
be termed more conscious or less consciousness. In the ego world there are
certainly many grades of consciousness, none of which include spiritual
consciousness. Spiritual consciousness is contained within the soul body or
envelope that protects the Spirit. The soul body allows the influence of Spirit
to enter the physical being, but only when the ego permits it. It could be said
that the mature ego which has not been raised with spiritual awareness is
unaware and unenlightened, and to all intents and purposes asleep. The ego
body will need an event so difficult for it to explain as anything other than an
epiphany, in order for it to wake up. It will often seek to explain away the
event saying it was a coincidence, that it was someone else’s fault, they might
even suggest it was imagined and didn’t really happen. Yet these same people
will go to someone who poses as a medium for advice, and with some ruthless
readers that what they will get, their vice added to. We have said that
communication with Spirit is simple and two way, you can address Spirit
directly and Spirit can direct you equally easy, and the proviso is always if
your ego allows it. The ego will readily permit soul communication, this is
done using the psychic senses of the human. The danger of this practice is that
the soul realm is where negativity and positivity co-exist. As we said the
