Helping.
We have been told how we are in a state of
interdependency with all living things. This interdependency is
what we call on in our time of need. Help is always at hand and
we should always be there to help.
It is how we help and how we seek the help to be that
we must better understand. We are often misguided in this
matter. There is a divine aspect of in us all. When we seek to
help or when we seek help we need to seek from that divine
self. In this way we can help and give help in a divine manner,
and always to the benefit of those we seek help from and offer
help to.
When approached by a beggar on the street do you
instinctively or habitually give them some money? Do you feel
guilty for having more than they do? Do you feel obliged to
give? Is this motivation based on what others might see you
do? Above all else is your giving going to really help this
person? It is important that you understand the nature of your
giving. As a thoughtless giver you could be contributing to the
pain and suffering of many. Lets go back to this beggar. Are
they looking for money or are they looking for help in other
ways? In the case of looking for money you need to be sure
