Spirit – Releasing the Light Within



               group  facilitator.  Preferably  this  will  be  an  experienced
               spiritual  meditator  who  will  keep  a  careful  eye  on  the
               proceedings, thereby providing a greater sense of protection for
               the sitters. This facilitator can also guide the sitters through the
               relaxation process. During the meditation and while everyone
               is relaxed the facilitator can take the sitter on a mind journey, a
               guided  visualisation.  In  this  appendix  I  have  provided  story
               lines  for  meditation  that  I  received  when  I  first  started
               facilitating  Spiritual  Meditations.  When  the  facilitator  gets
               more experienced Spirit will guide them along the pathways
               that Spirit will see as fitting for their development, and will
               guide  them  to  the  encounters  that  will  be  beneficial  for  all
               concerned, by providing the necessary enlightenment.

               The group should sit in a circle with the table with a lit candle
               in the centre. The candle should be lit as a sign of dedication of
               these proceedings to the Divine Light of Spirit. It is a good
               practice that once all have taken their place for the meditation
               that all chatter ceases. So as to form a good bond between all
               participants they will join hands. A short prayer of dedication
               and protection can be recited or mentally said. You will find
               examples  of  the  type  of  prayer  amongst  the  writing  in  the
               preceding  appendix.  The  hands  can  then  be  separated  and
               rested on ones thighs with palms down. It is good then to check
               that you are sitting comfortably. Ensure your feet are flat on the
               floor, your knees are in line with your hips, you are sitting well
               back in your chair with your back well supported, and your
               hands are resting palms down on your lap. Your body is now
               safely and comfortably ‘parked’ and safe for your Spirit, that
               which  drives  you,  to  feel  free.  Next  comes  the  relaxation
               process to quieten your ego.
