Page 25 - final working of the ultimate healer
P. 25
often we encounter a new therapy or an old therapy reintroduced or
renamed. Only recently there was a report on the upsurge in the use of
leeches. All healing therapies are as valid as their usefulness, in other
words if they work for you and give you what it is you need, then they
are good for you. None must be ignored as being a waste of time for
there must be some basis for their existence. Very often it is not the
therapy that is at fault but the practitioner of that therapy who is the
culprit.
Meridians are the fundamental channels for the life energies
to travel through, and even though they have only recently been
acknowledged by medical science as existing, they have been used by
various healing disciplines for thousands of years.
Some healing therapies use the ends of the energy channels
(reflexology) while others use their major "power" points
(acupuncture using needles and acupressure or Shiatsu and etc. using
pressure). In spiritual healing you will find yourself increasingly
encountering these same power points. You will find that you can
develop your own system of analysis relative to these points.
I do not intend to delve too deeply into this area as to do so
would only jump the gun and cause untold confusion. It is sufficient
that you will find out for yourself, and in this way realise the validity
of your own understanding.
You will find, for example, the cough point, the stomach
point, stress points, points of tension and so on. It is important at this
juncture to state that previous knowledge of other techniques can
impair you in the practice of spiritual healing in that the knowledge
can very often be irrelevant, and that your knowledge of spiritual
healing can undermine your confidence in other therapies. I will
explain this in more detail in a later chapter.
The same applies to medical knowledge. It is sufficient to say
at this point the condition of disassociation is perhaps better achieved
