process, it would not be then spiritual. It is the responsibility of the
healer to understand this and permit the channel to be maintained as
Spirit would require it, for the exclusive use of Spirit.
Another aspect of spiritual healing that must be recognised at
this point is that as it is the Spirit that gives and the Spirit that receives
the healing, then it is for the Spirit to decide what is required.
We, looking at an illness in human terms, and being more
conscious of the physical needs, see only the physical manifestation of
the sickness, the symptoms, and invariably seek only to reduce the
apparent discomfort emanating from the patient. For this reason we
need to disassociate ourselves from the situation as much as possible.
This is what makes spiritual healing the ultimate healing. In
spiritual healing it is that the All Knowing is recognised as such and
allowed to do what is necessary for the suffering spirit incarnate,
without let or hindrance on the part of the healer.
It is also important to recognise that healing always takes
place. Healing always takes place, but - and there is a very big but - it
is dependant on the healer the degree to which the healing achieves
the necessary results. A very important word is disassociation. It is
necessary for the healer to disassociate from their perception of what
is good for the patient.
Healers are merely human and easily get engrossed in the
physical aspects of the illness. Though healing always takes place it is
not always evident at a physical level. Perhaps it is necessary that the
physical condition must persist and that it is the attitude to the
disability that is healed and the full purpose of the illness understood.
It is The Spirit that knows what is best for the spirit.
