encounter Jesus, a worker of many miracles that make up the greater
record in the Bible.
It appears that though Jesus told his followers to go and heal
the sick, we are only told that they that they did, not how, or where.
After this time Spiritual Healing was only attributed to notable
religious personages as an appendage to their spirituality and evidence
of their sainthood.
For some time, in the Western world Spiritual Healing almost
totally disappeared. Healing of a Spirit nature was practiced in various
isolated areas. Spiritual Healing as channelled from God, the Holy
Spirit, was almost extinct.
A revival of Spiritual Healing became significant through the
facility provided by Harry Edwards, a facility that exists today in the
sanctuary he founded in Surrey, England. The Church in England set
up a commission to investigate the many claims of Divine intercession
in diverse illnesses and diseases. Harry Edwards was asked to submit
cases in his healing experience so that the commission would be able
to investigate them. Harry gave many more cases than were asked for,
cases that are well documented from all angles by many professionals.
The report on the results of the commission’s investigation was never
published in spite of persistent requests for a sighting of this
document. However, the Church did instigate the Ministry of Divine
Healing. Possibly this was a case of, “If you can’t beat them, join
them”.
Today many people practice Spiritual Healing in centres, in
Spiritualist Churches and from their own homes or private sanctuaries.
Unfortunately, many try to emulate the miracles mentioned in the
Bible and limit the healing facility for those earnestly seek to be
healed. Many who seek healing, can limit the availability of healing
by seeking a healer who has replaced Jesus, sometimes travelling
miles when all the time Spiritual Healing is available close by.
