is - then he has to take special care in treating infectious illnesses so
that he can avoid being infected. He cannot take risks. Similarly, if
anybody encounters infection they have to take special care that they
do not become its victim, nor permit another to become theirs if it is
they who are infected. One way medically to avoid catching the
infection would be to immunise the body but in healing the only way
is to understand how to be capable of being a pure channel.
Attitudes can be far more infectious then physical disease.
Attitudes are easier to catch and harder to heal than anything else.
These frames of mind create the greatest hazard for healers. Take the
patient whose attitude makes the healer lose confidence in the healing,
to have doubts. If that healer already has an unhealthy ego attitude and
does not retire, it is obvious what the outcome could be.
Such a healer is infused with a sickness that they may never
recover from, a sickness that can attack the mind, the body and the
spirit. A spiritual healer needs mental fitness, needs to possess the
positivity of purpose and positivity of trust in that purpose, and most
of all, the knowledge of how all healing comes about, through the
Spirit.
The spirit of the healer can only permit itself to be the channel
when it is fit and ready. That is, when the spirit's physical mind and
body are in harmony with each other and with the spirit itself, for the
tasks it is seeking to perform while in the earth incarnation.
Spiritual healing comes from commitment, not from
knowledge. The knowledge provides the ability to understand that
commitment and how to implement it. There is no way to be a good
spiritual healer other than by being totally committed to the work of
Spirit for the sake of Spirit. Spiritual healers cannot be committed for
any other reason. If they are, then they are not true spiritual healers.
The purity of the channel can only be maintained by the
constant vigilance of the healer. It is the responsibility of the healer to
