Ego.

It is important that we discuss the aspect of ego. Ego is the
physical and mental self. Ego has been described by Spirit on many
previous occasions and perhaps it is only necessary that your attention
be drawn to their comments again. The following extracts are from
direct Spirit communications received at various times and for various
reasons. However, they serve to illustrate the many ways that ego can
manifest and also show us how we must be aware of ego when we
work as Spiritual Healers.
Those who seek to develop their psychic generally want only
the results and care not the source nor the cost. The path to God is not
along one motivated by ego, the path to God is not along the one
motivated by selfish desire, the path to God is not along the one
motivated by fear, the path to God is not along one motivated by
insecurity. No my friend the path to God is along one motivated by
needs, the need to get to God, the need to be of help to others seeking
the same goal, the need to be of service to those powers in Spirit that
seek to help mankind in this need.
Success breeds trouble for the unwary earthbound human. It is
all to easy to find that there is a factor of ego involved. To find the
right path might encourage an overrun of enthusiastic outbursts in the
most inappropriate places.
People will find that others will stand in certain awe of the
revelations that have befallen the newly initiated. This newcomer to
the knowledge can rightly feel a certain pride in their achievement and
yet only a certain pride. If one were to feel nothing then there would
be no motivation for further progress. This pride is the most likely
