About Death
We were talking about death the last time we communicated. This is a subject that
seems to disturb humankind. We in the Spirit world see it as the return to totality as we know
it. To be part of the Spirit world with the awareness that goes with this closeness to God
allows us to feel more a part of the total being than is possible whilst incarnate. It is very
difficult for a spirit when it is in the flesh to disconnect itself from the senses that pervade the
combined consciousness that makes up the mind of the human being. When the spirit returns
to this world it celebrates as it is really a return home.
Can you imagine what it would be like for the spirit if it had to remain in your world
with a physical body that continues to deteriorate until it has no means to function with? That
is not a pleasant thought is it? A spirit in your world that finds itself trapped in a body that
has ceased to function perhaps through some accident knows where it is and that if necessary
any suffering it might be experiencing will be ended through the facility of dying. Death is
necessary for the living. How else can this world be accessed on a more permanent basis. We
know that meditation gives you a temporary access to this world. You know when you
experience this world that the beauty leaves you with a certain satisfaction and a hunger for
more experiences of this kind. You will have difficulty in conveying your feeling of the
experience to others unless they too have experienced a visit to the spirit world. It is such a
wonderful place to visit and even better to live in and yet in your meditation you have only
stepped inside the door of this world.
It is a pity that more people don’t visit us as they would have less of a fear of what
might or might not await them when they eventually take the journey home. Most people,
when they die, successfully make the transition. There are some that have difficulty and need
great assistance. The most common causes of difficulty are the hard held beliefs that the soul
carries with it into this world, and cannot recognise the truth because of these beliefs. Let us
clarify what the difference is between the spirit and the soul. The body we know to be the
physical being and this physical being has what could be best described as an invisible
membrane between it and it’s spirit. It is like the membrane inside the shell of an egg. This
membrane is what you call the soul. When the physical body is shed at death this soul form
remains around the spirit to give it an form that would be recognisable to those already in the
spirit world waiting for their friends and loved ones to join them. In this way when the spirit
re-enters this world there will be members of their ancestral clan waiting to greet them. The
ancestors will also don a recognisable mantel so that the newcomer can recognise them also.
Where this system breaks down is where the newly deceased insists that it must enter the
spirit world “body and soul”. The body has much emphasis placed upon it by those who
mourn the passing of the deceased and in this way the spirit is held back in the physical world
by the poorly informed or educated consciousness of the soul. The deceased therefore tends
to stay close to the body they have just vacated, unaware that their journey cannot proceed
