love. It is important to remember that true love is Divine and
those who live by their ego are disconnected from spiritual
awareness and God-ness. This then is how the world is
presenting itself to the new initiate to egoism, the five year old
child.

Much of this year will see the five year old seeking to please.
The child will see to please its adults, its siblings, its teachers,
and its religion. It will seek friendships with other children
many who will be also suffering from the lack of spiritual
support. The other seeking we referred to earlier, the
unconscious seeking of spiritual fulfilment, will always be
there. How often when a child is asked how they are will
reply, "alright"? How many respond "fantastic"? Because
most children in western society are in the same situation the
dilemma goes unnoticed. The few children that are feeling the
freedom of non-conformity are classed as dreamers, ADHD-
ers, stupid, seeking attention, challenged etc. Basically the
system cannot sustain such children and in some countries just
drug them. It is extraordinary that the treatment of children
has progressively deteriorated over the centuries and split the
child population into groupings of achievers and non-
achievers. I am aware that there is a whole cohort of children
in the world that are even more badly treated than those in our
society but that will be addressed at another time. At least
humankind in the west has begun to look at the plight of the
children and legislated for greater protection. There is a
problem still and that is caused by the total lack of respect
shown to these precious teachers that God has sent to us.
