Many no longer refer to them as children, rather they are
referenced as young animals, they are called kids. Such is the
lack of respect. Many children are reared out of duty and not
out of love.
On the other hand there are those enlightened beings who set
about improving the lot of children. It has been that religious
institutions had this duty but we are aware that there are
special people who have got the message and are seeking to
implement it. There is always the close proximity of religion
to curtail the efforts of these people but even the religious are
changing, though much to slowly. It is down to each and
every human being to look upon children with a new respect,
to nurture them as of old. It is important that we look outside
of our society and see how it is done elsewhere Look to other
societies, especially a society that has not been colonised, one
that has retained many of its classical old ways and see the
children who in general will be beaming. We have referenced
this earlier, look to the indigenous people.
The life of a six year old is uneventful in spiritual terms as the
Spirit is waiting for the mental capabilities to become attuned.
During this year it is hoped the ego is allowed to settle in.
Should the child have good spiritual support then there should
be no difficulties. However, should that support not be there
then we can expect there will be conflict, only this time it will
not be between the ego and Spirit but between ego and ego. It
is a time when the child is most prone to bullying of its peers.
The child that is spiritually strong will not be effected by it. It
is the ego that is bullied by another ego or other egos. The
