that they are primarily Spirit. The human mind often gets
confused in the choice making process and become aware of
many choices it can make. Should the human not be aware of
it's being then it will find that there can be no element of
inspiration in these choices. we have said before that the Spirit
is a benign being and will not intrude into the ego unless
invited. When the human seeks to make choices it will not
know to ask Spirit. However, should they have awareness of
this element of their being then they stand the opportunity of
being inspired in their choices. Sometimes an event occurs in
life and decisions need to be made. When the ego goes into its
reactionary phase it effectively closes the door to inspiration.
The expression to "sleep on it (the difficulty)" is a very useful
expression to observe. It gives time for the reaction to loose
some of its power and for action to become apparent. Having
"slept on it" and in "the cold light of day" everything can look
different. Perhaps the situation has changes to facilitate some
of the choices that were part of the deliberations of the
previous day. In the case where the human was closed to
inspiration Spirit had worked to inspire where possible and
capitulation had occurred overnight, and the new day brought
the opportunity of resolution. To the human facing the
dilemma their awareness will not have been improved unless
the situation is miraculous and even then humanity has a way
of explaining it other than inspired. This is why so many need
to experience the folly of their ego, and often with disastrous
consequences, before they are open to that element of God
that is in their lives and so close they cannot see it.
