heart" or visa versa. This is the area where unsuitable
decisions are made. If, however, we are to include that other
part, our being, as the arbitrator between the body and the
mind we will decrease the likelihood of the decision being
unsuitable and will make less "mistakes".
All human life can be treated this way provided that we put it
in the correct context, with Spirit first and ego secondary to it.
Most life is lead with ego first and Spirit second. This latter
state tends to prolong the discomfort of living and delays the
onset of happiness that should be the joy of living. If one is to
ask themselves how would I do this as a Spirit they might
have very different decisions offered to them. Some of these
decisions will be offensive to the ego should the ego be
dominant. To please the ego will give a temporary satisfaction
but to follow the Spirit will give satisfaction not only in this
life but also eternally.
The human mind, is as elusive as the ego. Perhaps it could be
considered to be the link between the ego and the Spirit? Both
the ego and the Spirit share the mind. If you like the mind
contains the consciousness of the ego and the consciousness
of the Spirit, that part of Spirit that is incarnate. The bodies
five senses are connected to both levels of consciousness
though it is only the ego that can respond to the stimulation of
the senses. The Spirit can have influence on the ego and assist
on the choices the ego can make. This is called inspiration. In
