thinks it is in control and meets an obstacle that it sees as
being insurmountable it is only so because the ego is
dominant and unaware that it only has God likeness, unlike
the incumbent Spirit that is of God. In this scenario, should
the ego recognise it’s frailty, and that in reality it is not the
dominant being, that it is, or should be, subservient to the
incarnate Spirit, only then can it invoke God’s help and
assistance without abuse. In effect the ego is acknowledging
the true source of it’s apparent power as emanating from it’s
core being, it’s Spirit. The help and assistance is coming from
God, the God within the Human Being.
And this is what taking responsibility is about. We need to act
responsibly in every situation and take responsibility in every
situation we encounter, and at all levels of consciousness. Ego
is a state of consciousness as is Spirituality a state of
consciousness. These states of consciousness are separate and
do not mix. They can both be applied to life, and at the same
time, The spiritual consciousness should always be the
dominant consciousness. When the ego consciousness is
dominant that is when we encounter trouble without solution
and when the ego surrenders to the Spirit we get resolution.
Unfortunately the ego too often has to experience suffering,
mental and/or physical pain, to the point where is realises that
it is powerless and defeated by circumstance before it is
prepared to relinquish its dominance. Sometimes the ego will
cling to it’s apparent power and cause the body to die in the
process. These days the latter is so often the case, since
humankind has become so removed from spiritual awareness.
