Multi-Factor Authentication for On-line Accounts
While every service is slightly different, multi-factor authentication is typically done through the settings of
whichever account you are looking to protect. Most social media services will list the option for multi-factor
authentication in either privacy or security sections within their settings and it typically involves adding a text
messaging notification (short message service or SMS) to the user’s cell phone.
Requesting Removal/Blurring of Images of Home
Google:
1. Bring up the street view of your property.
2. Look to the bottom right hand corner of the screen and you should see an icon labeled: “Report a
problem.”
3. Click on “Report a problem.”
4. You will get a page called “Report Inappropriate Street View.”
5. There will be a box called “Image Preview” where you can adjust the area you would like blurred.
6. Below the Image Preview, there is a section called “Why Are You Reporting This Image?”
7. If you want your house blurred, click on “My home.”
8. A text box will appear where you should add verifying information, such as your address and a
description of your house.
9. You need to include your email address in the box below.
10. They use a reCAPTCHA verification service, so click the “I’m not a robot” box and hit “Submit”
Bing:
1. From the top of the map, drag the blue icon that looks like a person to your street. (Note: Bing requires
installation of a program, Silverlight. If your street does not turn blue when dragging the “blue person”
icon, then your house has not been photographed for Bing’s maps.)
2. Click on the question mark at the bottom-right of the screen.
3. Click “report an image concern.”
4. Request that your home be blurred.

Domains can be registered through a “registrar” service. ICANN maintains a list of certified registrars; the

On-Line Reputation Management Service
There are online reputation management companies like Reputation Defender, Reputation.com, and
LookingGlass, who offer personal online monitoring service.
We would recommend that you pay for the privacy registration, which is typically only a few dollars more
a year but hides the personal information of the registrant.
