RESOLUTION BY THE PUBLIC WORKS & CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AND
STORM & WASTEWATER COMMITTEE ENDORSING THE CONSTRUCTION

OF WILLOW ROAD SOUTH AND AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH RA
SMITH FOR THE PREPARATION OF DESIGN AND PUBLIC BIDDING

DOCUMENTS FOR THE WILLOW ROAD SOUTH EXTENSION PROJECT

WHEREAS, the Willow Road South Extension Project has been a priority
project for decades; and

WHEREAS, the Wisconsin of Transportation and Racine County have
agreed to assist the village in completing the project in 2018;

WHEREAS, from R.A. Smith for has submitted a bid for preliminary design
work and preparation of public bidding documents for the Willow Road South
Extension Project; and

WHEREAS, at this time the Village would like to proceed with certain
design and engineering work in order to proceed with the actual construction
work in 2018.

NOW THEREFORE, the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine
County, Wisconsin does hereby resolve:

1. That R.A. Smith National is authorized to proceed with
preliminary design and engineering work, and preparation of
bidding documents, at cost not to exceed $125,000.

2. The Village Board endorses the Willow Road Project.
3. That the funds for said work shall be taken from account

101-51300-290.
4. That the bids may be solicited, but contracts shall not be

awarded without further authorization by the Village Board.

Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine County,
Wisconsin, this 6th day of February, 2018.
