RESOLUTION BY THE PUBLIC WORKS & CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS
COMMITTEE AND STORMWATER & WASTEWATER COMMITTEE
AUTHORIZING CERTAIN WORK IN REGARD TO THE 2018 STREET PAVING

PROGRAM

WHEREAS, the Village of Sturtevant prioritized the 2018 Street Paving
Projects, including the repaving of Hulda Drive from 90th Street west to 97th
Street, 92nd Street from Durand Avenue south to Chandler Avenue, and 92nd

Street from Washington Avenue south to Rayne Road.

WHEREAS, the Village had previously indicated its intention to proceed
with the 2018 Paving Program through the passage of Resolution 2018-12; and

WHEREAS, the Village anticipates borrowing $450,000 to complete 2018
Paving Program.

WHEREAS, at this time the Village would like to proceed with certain
design and engineering work in order to proceed with the actual construction
work in 2018.

NOW THEREFORE, the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine
County, Wisconsin does hereby resolve:

1. That R.A. Smith National is authorized to proceed with
preliminary design and engineering work necessary in order to
proceed with the repaving of Hulda Drive from 90th Street west
to 97th Street, 92nd Street from Durand Avenue south to
Chandler Avenue, and 92nd Street from Washington Avenue
south to Rayne Road at A cost not to exceed $45,000.

2. That the funds for said work shall be taken from the 2018 bond
proceeds.

3. That the bids may be solicited, but contracts shall not be
awarded without further authorization by the Village Board.

Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine County,
Wisconsin, this 20th day of February, 2018.
