In 2021, 537 million people were living with DM, a number projected to rise to 783 million by 2045. In Indonesia, cases are expected to increase to 28 million. Uncontrolled DM is defined by HbA1c %u22657%, fasting blood glucose %u2265126 mg/dL, or 2-hour postprandial glucose %u2265200 mg/dL after at least three months of treatment. Serious complications include ketoacidosis, recurrent infections, and hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state. This case report presented a 61-year-old female presented with frequent leg cramps, particularly at night and after physical activity, without associated pain. She also reported nocturia, excessive thirst, and weight loss over the past two months.
