All of our sewer waste is piped to a waste water processing facility where the solids are sepa-
rated from the water. The water is purified enough to pipe it through the purple pipes to all the
landscaping that has those purple signs warning not to drink. The solid is sent to a “digester”
and turned into fuel for all of the garbage trucks that come around our neighborhood on Mon-
day. The newest waste treatment plant will be offering tours as soon as it is opened. And one
more thing….do not let the fruit tags go down your garbage disposal. They will not only make
your garbage disposal less effective, they cause major backup to the waste separation system.
