Applied Landscape Materials was hired to bark The Club’s common areas. They brought
in multiple semi-trucks with the product inside. Large hoses are hooked up to the trucks
that blow the bark out. Using air to blow bark is up to 5x times faster than traditional
methods. Installing mulch by hand often results in uneven distribution and varying depths.
With a blower system, the air flow produces an even distribution of mulch, increasing the
ability to provide a smooth, consistent installation that is unobtainable by hand. It also re-
duces the time, effort, and cost needed for the installation process. This approach allowed
the association to save thousands of dollars on the project which puts more money towards
other budget items and special projects. The common area has been completed (shown
here). The Board will be reviewing proposals for the south and north area homes in the
coming months.
