At that time my mother used to work in the farms. I too
used to accompany her by looking after the buff alos; collecting

the fire woods etc. My father was a carpenter. I also learned
the hard work from him. Even today I can do that work.
I have a brother and two sisters. My parents used to get a

very little amount. Many a times they did not get a penny.
Hence, we lived in very poor conditions. My mother used
to send me to borrow money from M.S. Patil. His mother or
sister used to lend us some amount. They were and are the
big support to us. Once, my parents had to sell my Kardoda
to bring food grains. I wore the gold and silver ornaments
            only after marriage.

I used to sleep in the farmhouse due to the lack of space
at our home. I used to come back in the morning after having
a bath in the well. The farm owner Mr. Pandhre Patil used to
respect me a lot. He used to help me with his home and other
facilities. I used to help him in his farmland works. Those were
the golden days! Water pump and bullocks along with the
farmers songs were my favorites. Now, science has brought a
motor. That waters the whole farm with a one switch.
There were my english classes in Gokul Shirgaon for
a few years. Later, one of my students Mr. K. D. Patil had
started Sou.Ambubai Patil English Medium Military Patt ern
school on the name of his illiterate mother. Now, this is the
most popular educational institute of that area. It has 2700
students along with 80 staff members. This is really a big

            achievement.
It is said that the surroundings of the area in which one
lives, land, air, water has a greater impact on the person. it
is true in every sense. But, one can feel this impact only if
we take an effort to accept the good and forget the bad. Your

family, home, friends, your work everything of yours has a
certain impact on your life. Your values shape you up.
You should value your self-respect; it turns you to

be the better person. It opens the doors of bett er world.
Circumstances do change. It requires patience, faith, hard
work to change it in a bett er way.
