I took the lessons of marketing, customer satisfaction,
communication, commitment, leadership, motivation,
accountability, auditing, budgeting and management.
Those lessons are still guiding my path.
My owner was a clever person. He treated us with
respect. He was a soft hearted person. Always think of
others. He had an amazing personality. He was a highly
qualified kokanastha brahmin and had a good command
over english language. Everyone used to praise me in offi ce
and hence I enjoyed working there. I used to feel proud
of my boss. I realized an importance of education while
working with him. My thought process improved.
Mrs. Hawaldar was a royal woman. I used to work
with her at home. I used to help her in all the household
works. I used to wash their cars. Fiat Padmini was one of
the car they had that fascinated me and I bought the same
car when I became financially well off. I was obsessed
with cleanliness, my poor economic conditions made me
humble so, nothing let me down. I used to work for my
own happiness. I was popular as’ Sutarmama’ then. And
still am. Hawaldar family has a major contribution in
turning my life for the better. Good and new things started
attracting me. I started understanding world. I became part
of their family. They fed me for a long time. I learned a lot
of things from them by being a silent observer.
I started studying in college along with a job. I used to
dress up like bellbottom, shoes, and beetles hair cut when I
was in college. I had a moustache too. Rahul, Sachin, Anita,
Archana were the four kids of my boss. My owner used
to buy me new clothes along with his own children. His
children used to roam around with me. Together we had
fun. I used to narrate the funny stories to them. Overall we
had a good bonding.
By this time, I was a career oriented young aspirant.
Good eating habits and bicycle riding made me an
enthusiast. Later, I realized that I should have opted
for commerce instead of arts and should have been an
