The part of the sentence with when, until, before, or after is in the present tense even when
the real time is future.

I will give you the book.
I will see you tonight.

She is going to study the verbs.
She will know them.
She is going to study the verbs until she knows them.

He will get a master’s degree.
He will start looking for a job.
He will get a master’s degree before he starts looking for a job.

I will finish my English course.
I will start on my Ph.D.
I will start on my Ph.D. after I finish my English course.
