brand strategy
words & images.
Throughout my time at MIL, I’ve worked hard to create impactful designs and
communications for MIL. Whether it’s a booth design, a suite of marketing collateral, or
proposal graphics that pack a punch, I always ensure our pieces not only look like MIL but
sound like MIL, too.
In 2021, I carefully and thoughtfully developed our brand guide, which explains how we
communicate who we are as a company by defining our values and purpose, the style and
tone of our materials, how our logo is and is not to be used, our typography standards, and
the brand elements (colors and motifs) that uniquely make MIL, MIL. I consider these
components carefully and thoughtfully whenever I design and communicate.
Under this umbrella, some of my notable contributions include: aiding in the web design,
direction, and implementations for both the main MIL website and careers micro-site, a
complete logo redesign in 2015, two booth designs, two corporate brand re-freshes, and the
branding of all awards ceremonies and events. Additionally, I’ve contributed significantly to
our digital presence by developing successful digital ad campaigns with The Washington Post
and refining our MILtranet pages for enhanced user experience and brand clarity. I am also
our public relations contact and author of all news materials.
I am dedicated to delivering impactful visuals and communication materials that embody
MIL’s style and tone, ensuring brand cohesion and consistency. I am very proud that my work
touches most, if not all, internal and external audiences at MIL.
