A wet and wild day at Whirlin’ Waters
Adventure Park
On August 10th, the MIL Charleston team ventured into the
101-degree heat to enjoy an afternoon together at the Whirlin’
Waters Adventure Park in North Charleston, SC. Even in the
sweltering heat, families and friends were able to keep their “cool”
as parents tried to keep up with their kids on over 20 speeding
slides, rivers, wave pools, and play parks. By the time everyone
took a break to eat pizza and rehydrate, most of the team looked
relieved that the event’s hostess, Sr. Vice President, Peg Kendra,
had called them in to eat! Families pitched in on bringing
desserts, Kool-Aid drinks, fruit plates, and juices. The team had so
much leftover food, nobody went home without pizza and snacks
if they were able. MIL will also be fondly remembered by much of
the Whirlin’ Waters custodial and customer service crews…as we
donated any leftover pizzas to them, and one stranger, before we
left!
