        Standing pink together


        MIL team members showed their true colors in October,
        and they were all PINK! From palest pink to fiercest fuchsia,
        members of the REPS roster got pretty in pink to show their
        support and solidarity during Breast Cancer Awareness
        month. This year’s awareness campaign slogan—Pink
        Together, Stronger Forever—serves to remind us that there’s
        strength in numbers when it comes to battling this disease.




        Tickets for kids

        On Thanksgiving weekend, MIL’s Capitol One Arena suite was the scene of youthful exuberance as kids from the local DC
        community enjoyed a “hometown” Hoyas b-ball victory over the Jackson State Tigers. Thanks to the vision and efforts of Tickets
        For Kids Charities, MIL was able to donate tickets to the November 25th Georgetown game and deliver an exciting outing for a
        number of area youth.
        Tickets for Kid’s mission is “to provide equitable access for our most vulnerable youth to experiences that inspire hope, dreams,
        and achievements for a lifetime.” The organization has spearheaded the donation of 3.4M unused event tickets worth over $77M
        since 1994. Tickets for Kids has delivered experiences to youth in 24 states while helping to reduce the “opportunity gap” for
        children living in many disadvantaged communities.
        The photos below show attendees from 480 Club, one of the organization’s many community partners, enjoying the game. The
        480 Club, established to train and mentor young student-athletes from the local community, believes in the psychological power
        of a bigger number—480 minutes of total training time per child—to empower the minds of youth to take pride and strive for
        excellence. Members from the club were in attendance for the game and the joy captured in the photos reflects not only the
        excitement of the competition but also the collective effort of MIL, Tickets for Kids Charities, and the 480 Club in reducing the
        opportunity gap for children living in disadvantaged communities.
