This work will feature implementation support for new leadership directives, guidance, and
mandates, and will require access to sensitive cybersecurity, principal protected information,
counterintelligence and terrorist threat information, and other classified data. The new PMSS
contract will also provide MIL’s Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team with the opportunity
to expand its RPA practice at DS.
Congratulations to Paul Marshall, the MIL support staff at DS, and Paul’s business
development team for making this latest award a reality!
New GFS Sector work at SBA, NSF, and the Coast Guard
MIL is pleased to announce new financial services projects at three federal agencies: the Small
Business Administration (SBA), the National Science Foundation (NSF), and the United States
Coast Guard (USCG). For SBA, MIL will support financial audit remediation efforts such as
OMB Circular A-123. At NSF, we will conduct grant and cost analysis support to assist with
pre-and post-award advanced oversight, audit resolution, and cost analysis activities. And for
USCG, MIL RPA and MS Power Platform developers will support financial business process
improvement and automation efforts at FINCEN in Chesapeake, VA, to help the Coast Guard
continue to achieve clean audit opinions.

MIL receives AIT approval
MIL is pleased to announce another 3-year “reapproval” as a US Navy Alteration Installation
Team (AIT). AIT is an engineering industry qualification that enables the Navy to contract with
MIL technical specialists capable of independently performing system installations aboard U.S.
Navy ships, submarines, and surface craft. MIL has been an approved AIT contractor since
2010.
“This definitely enhances our ISO QMS/certification and is a valuable discriminator for us that
shows we are prepared and qualified to perform very important and complex ship alteration
work,” stated REPS EVP Tom Clark. “This AIT designation allows the Navy to utilize MIL’s
experienced experts to meet the Navy’s AIT scope and requirements. With the experience of
our highly skilled workforce, we are ready to meet AIT challenges with cost-effective project
execution.”
Profiles in Automation
MIL’s automation work at the U.S. Department of State (DoS) and the Federal Aviation
Administration (FAA) was recently profiled by CDW technology magazine FedTech in
a feature article on the government’s successful adoption of robotic process automation
(RPA) and other intelligent automation technologies. RPA and other software tools,
such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), is quickly finding
a place in an increasing number of federal agencies where manual and oftentimes
tedious processes must be repeatedly executed.
In the article, entitled “Tired of Monotonous Tasks? Federal Agencies Turn to
Automation,” writer Wylie Wong profiles the application of RPA technology at three
federal agencies: the State Department, the FAA, and the Defense Logistics Agency.
After outlining the introduction of RPA at DLA, the balance of the article discusses
MIL’s impactful automation work at both DoS and FAA, including piloting and then
implementing RPA and similar productivity boosting tools at both DoS and FAA.
On the topic of RPA insertions at DoS, State Department CIO Kelly Fletcher noted,
“We are using RPA to reduce the repetitive, monotonous tasks done by our incredibly
talented workforce so they’re free to work on high-value, important human work, such as strategic and creative tasks.” Ms.
Fletcher also noted that the Bureau of the Comptroller and Global Financial Services—MIL’s long-time DoS customer —is
