EAP is for you and me
As we navigate life in this unprecedented time, you may recognize the impact that our current environment is having on your
stress level. We remind you that MIL’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is available to you and offers education, awareness,
and counseling services for not only stress management, but also for a myriad of other challenges you may be experiencing. Your
participation is strictly confidential and is offered at no cost to you.
Through EAP, MIL provides confidential access to professional counseling services for help in
confronting personal problems such as alcohol and other substance abuse, marital and family
difficulties, financial or legal troubles, and emotional distress. The EAP is called WorkLifeMatters
and is available through Guardian to all employees and their immediate family members by offering
problem assessment, short-term counseling, and referral to appropriate community and private
services. The EAP is strictly confidential and is designed to safeguard your privacy and rights.
Information given to an EAP counselor may be released only if requested by you in writing. All
counselors are guided by a Professional Code of Ethics.
Note that you do not have to participate in MIL’s benefits program to seek support. Remember that
minor concerns can become major problems if you ignore them. No issue is too small or too large,
and a professional counselor is available to help you when you need it. Call the EAP at 1-800-386-
7055 or by going to www.ibhworklife.com, username: Matters, Password: wlm70101.
